What a great weekend at the festival. The weather was great for the duration of our stay. The festival was a lot bigger than last year. The bands were great and everyone was just happy, relaxed and enjoying themselves.

Mighty Dub Fest 17th - 19th June 2022

T6 Adventures were invited to the Mighty Dub Fest in Northumberland near Alnwick Castle. A festival of great music, food and beer stalls, with people selling various merchandise. There were plenty of Campervans to admire and take ideas from. What a weekend this was, the festival was in a beautiful location with Alnwick Castle clearly visible from the site. It was a really well organised event with a great atmosphere. We weren't sure whether we were going to enjoy it as this was only our 2nd time out in the van, our first time for 2 nights with loads of other people around, loud music and totally out of our comfort zone. We couldn't have been more wrong and surprised. The music was fantastic, the food and merchandise stalls were very reasonably priced and the people were great, we soon realized that Campervans are for people of all ages who just want to experience what the world has to offer and be able to do so without the hefty price tags of hotels. I think we are going to enjoy this whole new experience. If this sort of thing is for you and you get the chance, we would highly recommend giving this festival a go, you won't regret it.

We didn't stay over at the festival but wished we had, instead we paid for day tickets. We arrived early on the Saturday morning as we were expecting parking to be really busy.

We entered the main festival area and were happy to see lots of people around but a bit disappointed at just how few stalls there were. This was due to the fact that this was the first Dubbed Out Event. We know the Dubbed Out Admins are keen to make next year even better. We look forward to that. We had a walk around the stalls, purchasing a few things along the way. Around lunchtime a crowd had gathered around the Mountain Bike show. We followed suite and sat and watched the two guys doing their bit. They kept the crowd entertained and were very good to watch.

Lunchtime arrived and music started to play which gave a better feel to the place. Crowds of people were starting to congregate round the mobiles bars and food areas. The whole vibe was good as too was the weather.

Two graffiti artist were busy spray painting a fantastic piece to represent the Dubbed Out festival. The end result can be seen below which is fantastic.

Overall the day was good just not enough things to do or see for us on the day we visited. This would have been different had we booked to stay the full weekend, plus this was a first for the DOC. I predict as the years go on this will get bigger and better. Roll on next year.
